The choices...

Nestled between the Blyde River Valley and Kruger National Park, Kapama’s four individually appointed and luxurious camps offer an escape for nature lovers from across the globe. This untouched part of Africa is home to some of our most endangered, beautiful and fascinating wild life.

With light, airy, open spaces and landscape views from every angle, Karula is truly the pride of Kapama as a flagship lodge. Each of the glass-wrapped villas has its own outside deck area, a fully-sized heated pool and loungers to relax in as you take in the nature surrounding you. Effortlessly elegant and stylish, Karula has the power to steal the breath of even the most experienced traveller.

High in the treetops, accessible only by elevated wooden walkways, lies the old-world luxury tents of Kapama’s Buffalo Camp. 10 Spacious suites are the closest you’ll get to living alongside our wildlife. As the smallest camp, Buffalo Camp is a quiet, private and intimate lodge where you can unwind in the shade of the trees and take in the surrounding peace.

The charm and hospitality of Southern Camp staff make it a warm and inviting place ideal for families and close friends looking for that ultimate African safari. 25 Suites make up this camp and it’s relaxed atmosphere gives the impression that even the tiniest tots are a priority. Learn to track game on a guided bush walk or play games on your private patio… the memories made at Southern Camp will be with you and yours forever.

Made up of 64 well-appointed stunning rooms, River Lodge is our largest camp, but the wide, open spaces and spacious design are a constant reminder that you’re in fact sleeping under the African sky. River Lodge has a more festive and social atmosphere than our smaller, quieter camps, which is why young couples and groups of friends are often our main types of visitors.
